BIOGRAPHY
“My studio philosophy is simple: I strive to get the best sound possible. I work until the song and the performance are as good as they can be and if we get a hit record along the way then that’s a home run. Either way we work hard and always have a good time doing it.”
~ Ron Banks (V.J.)
Ron Banks completed his engineering apprenticeship at several New York City Studios, including A&R Studio, The Hit Factory and Celestial Sound. Ron’s first independent engineering project was with the hit maker Freddie Jackson for Capitol Records. They subsequently collaborated on four more albums together. Since that first project, Ron has had the pleasure of working on many records with some of the best musicians and producers in the business, including Anthony Jackson, David Sanborn, Andy Newmark, Marcus Miller, John Hall, Phil Ramone, Dave Grusin, Paul Laurence, Barry Eastmond, David Foster, Gene McFadden, Michael Jackson and many more.
